Simplifying Home Care for Families: The New Right at Home Website

Seniors and their baby boomer children are looking for information and comparing senior service providers online more frequently than ever before. The amount of information that is available, not to mention necessary, when it comes to aging and the care of a loved one is vast. The sheer volume of information can add anxiety to an already overwhelming situation for someone who is trying to make a difficult decision.

In an effort to simplify the process of learning about home care, Right at Home has created a new website to better meet the needs of those we serve. This unique site presents information in a way that makes it easy for family caregivers to learn about home care, and how home care can work for their situation, in addition to a wide variety of senior care related topics.

The site was developed with input from a task force of Right at Home franchise owners who directly interact with and meet the needs of our clients and elder care professionals on a daily basis. Their participation in the creation gave developers great insight into the needs of our customers. Industry jargon has been thrown to the wayside. Instead, the focal point was the needs of those who provide care to others.

In addition to the expected service list seen on most sites, the new Right at Home site provides family members with an online Care Assessment to help them understand the type of care they might need. Based on the Care Assessment answers, the viewer will receive customized results for what services may be most helpful for their situation. The results also provide a profile of a similar Right at Home customer and how they utilize our services, as well as stress management and caregiver tips for the person caring for their loved one.

A Location Finder has been added to help families quickly find more information on the services offered by one of our nearly 200 U.S. offices.

Last but not least, the website features a new blog with posts updating users about useful and timely information for all types of caregivers.
